BedrokTM for Sondek LP12 is the first-ever, plinth performance upgrade from Linn. Formed of orthogonal layers of beech placed under extreme pressure and heat to create an entirely new, solid and massive material, this engineered, ultra-dense wood has negligible resonance and offers a superior isolating housing for the turntable’s mechanism.

Linn’s highest performance motor control and power supply available for the Sondek LP12 and comes complete with a brushed DC motor that replaces the standard LP12 AC motor. Radikal also powers the Urika's internal phono stage for LP12, where fitted. Radikal brings together several breakthrough technologies that enable a completely new and innovative approach to motor control in the LP12, significantly improving its performance.
Radikal’s speed management system auto-calibrates the motor every time the Sondek LP12 is powered on, ensuring perfect timing every time you use it.
This external unit provides a clear upgrade from the internal Majik power supply. The role of the Lingo is to ensure that the LP12’s platter revolves at the correct speed, 33.3 or 45 rpm, at all times. It also ensures that no noise is issued from the turntable’s motor – a vital factor in extracting the maximum amount of information from every record

The Majik LP12 Power Supply is a compact and reliable motor control solution, fitting inside the Sondek LP12 to supply consistent, low-noise power.
To guarantee high quality audio performance from your turntable, this power supply filters extraneous mains noise, reducing judder in the motor for stability of speed.
Linn’s flagship tonearm. Featuring a titanium arm tube and ultra-low friction bearings, it’s designed to extract the maximum information from your vinyl collection. Ultra-low friction bearings and temperature-compensated precision-springs ensure that the exceptional performance of the Ekos SE tonearm is maintained regardless of whether you are listening to your first track of the day or have been spinning records for hours.
The use of multiple, individual journals in vertical bearing assembly design has been known to cause issues with concentricity, alignment and stability. With Arko, Linn have addressed this with a single, polished stainless-steel through-spindle. The resulting improvement in alignment allows the arm wand increased agility, ensuring its tracking over the record surface with zero hindrance.
The static-balanced design is hand assembled with high quality, precision aluminium and stainless steel components. It features a polished Tungsten and Sapphire vertical bearing with dual ceramic horizontal bearing assembly, both of which are long-lasting and provide very low friction/rotational mass.
Keel is an integrated sub-chassis, armboard and tonearm collar, machined from a solid piece of aluminium to provide extremely rigid support to the tonearm and platter. Eliminating screws, fixings and joins between each component removes virtually all vibration, resulting in more accurate music reproduction. Adding Keel to any LP12 offers a significant leap in performance.
The Kore sub-chassis and armboard is designed for extra rigidity, and removal of unwanted damping, making it a perfect performance upgrade for your Sondek LP12 turntable. It follows the design philosophies of the Keel (see above). The sub-chassis is strengthened by a multi-layer, box construction, using 1.5mm thick aluminium. Three parts are bonded together using a special Linn-specified adhesive which together form an incredibly stiff structure, whilst keeping the weight low.
Sub-Chassis (the new basic) provides a solid and rigid platform for your LP12's platter and tonearm. The sub-chassis is strengthened by a multi-layer box construction, using 1.5mm thick aluminium. This makes it the ideal platform to get started with your first LP12, and also a good upgrade for customers with older LP12s, which will benefit from the increased rigidity of this latest design. The Standard LP12 Sub-Chassis is used together with the LP12’s standard five-layer sandwich-construction laminated armboard.
Ekstatik – is the jewel in the crown of the Linn cartridge range. Designed to extract as much musical detail from your vinyl recordings as possible. Ekstatik uses micro-ridge stylus on a sapphire cantilever which makes for an extraordinarily responsive cartridge, and features aluminium-bronze inserts to reap the sonic benefits of this alloy. It's unique bespoke honeycomb cut into the cartridge body means mass is reduced to a preferred sweet spot of close to 7g.
Linn have kept the weight of the cartridge down by using a plastic front yoke screw rather than metal. As well as allowing the counterweight to be moved closer to the bearing point which gives a quicker reaction to changes in the vinyl, using a plastic screw eliminates any magnetic interference to the delicate coils in the cartridge.
Kendo possesses a rigid, nickel-coated 7075-grade aluminium body. This specific grade of aluminium matches that of our Arko tonearm, for which Kendo was designed to be the perfect partner. This facilitates superb material synergy throughout the tonearm system, and effectively banishes unwanted resonances away from the delicate generator, along the arm, and out through the sub-chassis.
Krystal features a similar approach to minimising mass as Kandid, using a nude design to give the cartridge less inertia so it can react more quickly to the changes in the groove. It also uses the triple-point mounting system for a solid connection to the tonearm headshell, while the aircraft grade 7075 aluminium chassis provides a lightweight, stiff and stable platform for the generator.
Koil delivers a performance upgrade from Linn’s moving magnet Adikt cartridge and is available as a standalone component or fitted to a complete Majik LP12 MC turntable for those who will be using a moving coil phono stage.
The Adikt MM cartridge features a rigid body and Gyger II replaceable stylus, both of which help to achieve a finely detailed and dynamic sound. It is easily mounted on a wide range of tonearms, including Linn’s Arko tonearm. The Koil MM cartridge is also an option...
Avaiable in two forms - This unique moving coil phono stage fits snugly inside the Sondek LP12 turntable and works with the Radikal motor control to deliver the best performance possible with an analogue pre-amplifier.
Urika delivers an impressive level of clarity and detail thanks to its location within the plinth itself which brings it as close as possible to the tonearm, minimising cable length and therefore signal loss and noise. Mounted on its own integrated Trampolin base board, the phono stage is also isolated from unwanted vibrations..
Made from high quality aluminium, the Trampolin base board is the natural choice for achieving peak performance. It can be fixed directly to the wooden plinth of your turntable.
Expertly-designed suspended feet provide the Sondek LP12 turntable with additional isolation from vibration, using acoustic dampening material to minimise interference for improved audio performance.
Solid Base as supplied as standard on the Majik LP12. The Solid Base is manufactured from high quality aluminium and is fixed directly to the wooden plinth of the turntable. The Solid Base provides a fixed, rigid platform for the turntable. This is often preferred on set-ups where the turntable is placed on a cabinet or shelf that provides its own isolation from vibrations.
